Shire of Danescombe’s Three Champion’s Event

Homecoming is the annual Shire Three Defenders event hosted by the Shire of Danescombe. This year the event will take place at Camp Boyle, near Summerland, British Columbia in the Okanagan Valley.
Highlights of the weekend will include;
• Armoured (Heavy) Defender's Tournament
• Rapier Defender's Tournament
• Bardic Defender's Tournament
• A Feast on Saturday evening by St. Gentian's Table
• "Win Art Pendragon’s Chicken!" a pre-feast game show that will test the knowledge of contestants on the Tales of the Round Table.
The Location … Surrounded by woods, the site itself offers almost unlimited camping areas, many open field, many in treed surroundings. There is a main lodge with full washroom facilities including showers, plus a scattering of outhouses for those who do not like to walk too far in the night. Clean running water. A large dining/activity building for feasts, games, and celebration. A large formal campfire area with seating and a stage. The camp also has a shallow creek running through the site.
Homecoming is a "discretely damp" event. Our hosts are Scouts Canada, with an onsite Caretaker and his Family. They are very friendly and tolerant people, with whom we enjoy a good relationship and one we wish to maintain.
Vendors are encouraged to attend and can be placed close to the centre of activities.
