His Grace Duke Steingrim Stallari invites one and all to join him in celebrating the marshal prowess of the great Army of An Tir as led by his most noble son Davin, Sable Lion of An Tir.
All who follow the martial arts are invited to test themselves with a day of fighting that blends individual combat with battle tactics, and then to gather for an evening of feasting and storytelling as his grace and His Majesty gather around the great fire to tell tales of glory past and glory yet to come.
This event will mark the debut of the largest fighting fortress west of the Rockies, and fighters interested in learning the niceties of siege work and experiencing the challenge of taking a fortress by storm are encouraged to test their mettle. http://www.windward.org/notes/notes63/castlast.jpg
There is no site fee for this event, but attendees are encouraged to make a donation and proceeds will go to the Raven Travel Fund. The feast is pot-luck. Those who wish to sell or barter are invited to do so. Pets must be leashed and attended. Free firewood and hot showers are available on site. The site opens Friday noon and closes Sunday at 5PM.
Directions: From Portland, Or, take I-84 east to Hood River, and cross toll bridge (.75USD). Turn right on Highway 14, go 9 miles and turn left on Highway 142. Go through Klickitat, on past mile post 16 and turn left on Wahkiacus Heights road. Proceed up hill for 3 miles, turning left on Long Rd.
