Samhain will be here soon, and with it comes feasting and celebration. In the spirit of ancient Ireland, where Samhain was celebrated by “meetings and games and amusements and entertainments and eating and feasting” (from “The Wasting Sickness of Cú Chulain”), we will come together to revel in the glories of autumn.

Activities will include:
Rapier wit tourney—armor inspection 12:00 p.m.-12:30 p.m.
“Anything but Beer III” brewing competition—sign up with Raul
Games tournament—sign up at gate
Bardic competition (period ghost stories, songs, and poems)—sign up at gate
Costuming competition—sign up with Fionna
Dancing
Feasting
There will also be a sale of lost and found items run by Lady Grania.

Time: 12 p.m.-10 p.m. (Gate opens at 11:45 a.m.)

Fees: Adults $7.00, 0-16 $5.00; $3 non-member surcharge does apply; make checks payable to Barony of Three Mountains, SCA Inc.

For the potluck:

Main dish and bread will be provided by the Barony.

If your modern last name begins with A-H, bring: fruit/vegetable or fruit/vegetable dish

If your modern last name begins with I-P, bring: side dish of some sort

If your modern last name begins with Q-Z, bring: dessert!
