Behold the glory of the equestrians of An Tir! The Barony of Madrone and the Madrone Equestrian Guild present the 6th annual Emprise of the Black Lion, the most renowned equestrian tournament in the land.
The main tournament is styled after the 15th Century treatise of King Rene D’Anjou and will be overseen by four renowned royal peers. Join the berfois and gallery to thrill to two full days of feats of heraldic splendor and jousting, mounted combat, and games of equestrian and martial skill, including a heavy Pas d’Armes tourney. Madrone Sargentry trials may also be held, if there are candidates
Conveniently close to the center of the Barony of Madrone in Kent, WA and a mere 15 minutes from SeaTac airport, the facility offers excellent amenities for participants, spectators, and horses.
