Shire of Corvaria
Harvest Tourney, August 16-18, 2013. The Shire of Corvaria invites
one and all to make the pilgrimage to Corvaria! We will be choosing
our shire Defenders and Champions and will be hosting a barroom
brawl prize tournament. There has been a massive renovation at
Petersens Rock Garden, and the grounds are simply beautiful! There
will be heavy fighting, bardic competition, arts and science
displays,archery competitons and activities for the children.
Saturday evening will also have our delicious evening potluck
feast with
a prize for Best Potluck Dish. Please bring a potluck dish to share
(a dish to feed six to eight people by mundane last name: A-G Main
Dish, H-P veggies and side dishes, Q-Z dessert). Or bring your best
potluck dish for the Best Potluck Dish contest. There will be a
bardic fire after dusk! All are welcome.

There will be 2 prize tourneys this year. The formats
will depend on how many fighters show up.

Shield tourney
Prize: leather belt pouch with a Celtic shield knot on the
front
Rules: combatants must use a shield paired with the weapon of their
choice

Bar Brawl
Prize: 16 inch stein with German Landsknecht in relief
Rules: combatants will have to hold a tankard while fighting and
try not to spill it. This will be point based with each fight
having a possible 5 points per combatant, up to 3 points for amount
left in tankard and 2 points for defeating your
opponent
