Come One, Come All, to the Fair Barony of Madrone for an afternoon of silly fun and frolic.
There will be no court. There will be no meetings. There will be no site fee.
The Madrone Culinary Guild invites you to David Rogers Park on Queen Anne Hill for the 27th annual Peasants Revel!
Play frivolous outdoor games. Frolic on the grass. Or, just laze around and talk. Come join the ancient rivalry between Borton on Water and Sodbury, our peasant villages, as they once again compete to show their worth. The day will be packed with fun outdoor games: Spit in the Bucket, Wet Rag on a Stick, the ever popular Clench-a-Wench, and more!
Setup begins at 11 AM, rain or shine. Wear durable peasant garb and expect to get grass stains. The festivities begin at noon, and continue to 6 PM, with a dinner break at 5 PM. These times are approximate. There will be a roster and waivers required, but no site fee.
An optional meal of soup, fruit, home-made bread, and home-made goat cheese will be available for a low $3. Bring your own feast gear. You can also bring your own meal or munchies. Remember that the city park does not allow alcohol. There is no seating in the section of the park that we use, so bring a blanket or chair to sit on.
