Come and join the Folks of
Wastekeep in our annual celebration at Springfest! On
Saturday, engage in honorable combat for the title of Heavy
Weapons Champion of Wastekeep. Saturday evening, take part in
a sumptuous potluck feast held in the courtyard of the
Chateau as you duel with words for the title of Baronial
Defenistrator! Best written description of torture wins you
the title for the next year. And, on Sunday, duel for the
honor of being Captain of Wastekeepâ??s Blasted
Musketeers for the next year! You can also look forward to
dancing, bardic, gaming, and a childrenâ??s
boffer contest throughout the weekend. Merchants are also
welcomeâ??please contact one of the autocrats
for reservations.

Site info: The event will
be at the Columbia Crest Winery, Hwy 221 Columbia Crest Dr.,
Patterson, WA. Only Stimson Lane and Columbia Crest products
may be consumed on site. There will be tours at 11:00 a.m.,
1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and at 4:00 p.m. There is an area to
park campers. (No hook ups). There will be a 20% discount on
wine only for those who are in garb. Potluck Feast: meat
dishes to be provided by the Baronyâ??please
bring a dish to feed ten according to mundane last name: A-I
bread and cheese, J-R fruit and veggies, S-Z desserts. The
site opens at 4 p.m. on Friday, closes on Sunday at 4
p.m.

The site fee will be $12,
$8 for children under 12. Please add $3 for non-member
adults. Make checks payable to SCA, Inc., Barony of
Wastekeep. Water at site is questionable, but potable water
and showers are available at the State Park nearby. Fires
must be at least 12 inches off the ground.

Directions: From
Washington, take your best route to I-82, heading for
Umatilla, OR. Take exit 131 (Hwy 14) just north of Umatilla,
OR. Drive west for 12.5 miles to Patterson Junction and turn
right onto Hwy 221. The Winery is on the left in less than a
mile.

From Oregon, take your best
route to Umatilla and cross the bridge on I-82. Take exit 131
(Hwy 14). At stop sign turn left and follow the directions
above.
