This is TWO great events for the price of one!! Archery and Thrown Weapons competitions both days!! Equestrian competitions both days!! Workshops; children's archery, games and crafts. Ladies – the 6th Annual Guillermo da Sierra Patace Memorial Bocce Tourney will be offered. There will be a Novelty prize shoot – entrance fee is a prize item. Scottish Rules Croquet! Combat Archery (Heavies want to play??) Bardic! SHOPPING!!! Several fine merchants invite you to come and visit Merchants Row!
Stone Soup on Friday evening for the weary traveler,(donation encouraged to cover cost of ingredients), Potluck on Saturday evening. No kitchen facilities available, but at least one food merchant on site, and a restaurant within a mile and groceries within 5 miles. Kress Lake is rumored to have good fishing. Fire restrictions will be posted as the event gets closer.
Those competing for Stromgard's Champions of Archery and Equestrian must submit a letter of intent at Opening Court, 10am Saturday.
SITE FEES: Age 17 and up $12.00; 4-16 $7:00; under 4 are FREE. There is a maximum fee of $40.00 for a modern family (parents and children 17 and younger). Daytrip fee is $8 (plus NMS if applicable) and $4 for children. Make checks payable to "SCA, Inc. – Shire of River's Bend". $3.00 per Non-Memeber Surcharge will be added to the above amounts. Site opens at 12pm on Friday the 25th and will close NO LATER than noon on Monday Aug. 28. (We want to go home too!)Horses MUST be removed by 9pm Sunday night!
