Greetings An Tir,
On April 30th, we discovered that the An Tir Authorizations database had been subject to a ransomware attack. This attack made the database and website unusable, but, as far as we can tell, did not expose any private information. Baron Feradach mac Tralin had been working on a new version of the authorization portal for the past year and has been able to get it fully launched. The antirlists.org website still needs to be cleaned up. While that is in process, the new portal is being hosted on Feradach’s business site, https://authorizations.thebusinessduck.com/. The antirlists.org website redirects to this page, so you do not need to change your bookmarks. He has created a set of tutorial videos for the website, which you can view here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJmmPor-P9kcPjxOokyyBJZYO2lYxm8QL The primary change in the new website is that it will be a self-service portal for marshals so that they can perform authorizations directly on the website without needing to email in paperwork. One of the effects of the ransomware attack is that we lost authorizations that were entered after May 9, 2025. The Authorization Officer has all of the paper forms archived, so the data isn’t lost, but the authorizations for the last year need to be re-entered. She has a team of people working on updating these systems. If you are a senior marshal, you can also go to your fighter page to request a login email and begin issuing authorizations through this new system. Note, if you renewed your membership in the last year, you will need to update that in the system, as it enforces the rule that senior marshals must have a current membership. The logins for the new system are based on the email account you used the last time you were authorized. If you don’t have access to that email account, you can submit a request on the contact page [https://authorizations.thebusinessduck.com/contact/] to change your email to a current address.
