The Royal Scribe is responsible for the award documents of the reign. He or she oversees award charter production (design, wordsmithing, calligraphy, artwork, printing, distribution, painting, and personalization), commissions custom scrolls and/or objects given as awards, sees that awards are signed and sealed as needed, and works closely with the Court Coordinator to deliver all these in a timely manner.

Along with his heavy fighting, Ragnar loves to participate in the Rapier and Archery communities and still holds his Gallant Scarf and Yeoman bracer close to his heart. He is a playwright and runs a stage combat company called the Pen & Sword, LLC with his amazing inspiration Theodora. Ragnar teaches Muay Thai and holds his Kru (Instructor) rank in that as well as running a Pekiti Tirsia Kali Study Group with MSMB Kali. He loves to stay active and find all the ways that these fighting arts can translate to one another and is currently working on a book that discusses weapon theory and biomechanics. When Ragnar isn’t busy he can be found in his shop making knives or welding.

Theodora is a Wordsmith of An Tir who enjoys poetry, scribal arts, historical spoken word, and research. She shoots archery, loves thrown weapons (particularly the axe), and runs a Stage Combat Business outside the SCA called The Pen & Sword, LLC. Her persona is heavily inspired by Anna Komnene, the first recorded female historian and daughter to Emperor Alexius II of Constantinople. You can also find her sewing, beading, and doing embroidery for her Byzantine costuming projects when she’s not at events, as well as studying languages such as Russian and Spanish.
