  • Authorization Database Backlog is caught up!!

    Greetings Fighters of An Tir,

The Authorization Database migration team has been hard at work putting back all of the authorizations that had been performed over the last year and lost in the ransomware attempt.

We are very excited to tell you that we are done! All of the backlogged authorizations are now updated in the system! Everyone should check out their authorizations and reach out if there are any missing that you should believe should have been entered. If you emailed them to the authorization officer in the last month then she may still be processing those.

Going forward, you can enter authorizations through the system. They will go into the “Awaiting Kingdom Authorization Officer Review” status. The Kingdom Authorization Officer will be checking all of these to make sure that everything is in order and then marking them as approved. Sending in paper applications is also still an option but it will be a slower process since it takes a few more steps.

We appreciate all of the feedback we have already received about the website, especially any bug reports. Every new system has kinks that need to be worked out and we are doing everything we can to address them as quickly as possible. You should expect to see small improvements regularly for the next month or two. We are trying to push out a weekly bug fix patch every Wednesday, though will move faster for critical issues. If there are any bugs you find, or features you would like to suggest, please visit the roadmap page (https://authorizations.thebusinessduck.com/roadmap/) and fill out the form or you can message Feradach directly.

Finally, we will be hosting an online zoom event on Saturday June 13th at 6:30pm. We will release the link to join closer to the event (to prevent it being scraped). This will be a chance for people to ask questions about the system and how the authorization process will work going forward.

Thank you all for your understanding and patience while we adapted to the abrupt changes.

  • New An Tir Authorizations Database is live.

    Greetings An Tir,

On April 30th, we discovered that the An Tir Authorizations database had been subject to a ransomware attack. This attack made the database and website unusable, but, as far as we can tell, did not expose any private information. Baron Feradach mac Tralin had been working on a new version of the authorization portal for the past year and has been able to get it fully launched. The antirlists.org website still needs to be cleaned up. While that is in process, the new portal is being hosted on Feradach’s business site, https://authorizations.thebusinessduck.com/. The antirlists.org website redirects to this page, so you do not need to change your bookmarks. He has created a set of tutorial videos for the website, which you can view here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJmmPor-P9kcPjxOokyyBJZYO2lYxm8QL The primary change in the new website is that it will be a self-service portal for marshals so that they can perform authorizations directly on the website without needing to email in paperwork. One of the effects of the ransomware attack is that we lost authorizations that were entered after May 9, 2025. The Authorization Officer has all of the paper forms archived, so the data isn’t lost, but the authorizations for the last year need to be re-entered. She has a team of people working on updating these systems. If you are a senior marshal, you can also go to your fighter page to request a login email and begin issuing authorizations through this new system. Note, if you renewed your membership in the last year, you will need to update that in the system, as it enforces the rule that senior marshals must have a current membership. The logins for the new system are based on the email account you used the last time you were authorized. If you don’t have access to that email account, you can submit a request on the contact page [https://authorizations.thebusinessduck.com/contact/] to change your email to a current address.

    YIS,
Levi ben Daniel Feradach mac Tralin mec Domongairt

  • Email routing work Completed

    Greetings An Tir,

I have an update. The Email routing work is complete

Emails should all be working now with emails flowing into google for those that have migrated to it. And everything else should be up and running as expected.

    I have tested the following
External Accounts I used were yahoo, gmail, proton mail, seperate o365 account not in our tenant
Internal Accounts covered stage.antir.org/ and antirwestwar.org since they are under the same tenant
*External -> Internal and verify emails will go to both 365 and Google
*Internal -> Internal and verified both system will email each other and themselves
*Internal -> External and verified both systems will get outside.
All the tests above include all in one email.
*I also test a special scenario of an account being in both Google and O365 and the mail will be delivered to the Google account. This will allow me to perform the delta migration of data. Emails can still be sent from here, so please do not send emails from 365 at this point or risk losing data.

Please spread the word and ensure folks get themselves set up in Google if they got an email about being migrated and reach out (email or discord) if you have any issues with sending or receiving emails

    YIS,
    Levi ben Daniel

  • Email routing work beginign shortly

    Greetings An Tir,

Your Webminister sends greetings. I am going to work on redirecting the mail within the next 30 minute so that the account in Google will start getting the new messages. Email delivery may have problems during this time.

I will be working to validate the settings and configuration during this time, there is no need to reach out if you see an issue before I post that work is done for the night.

I am sending this message via email, social media and an announcement on the Kingdom Website.

I will do the same as above to post when the work is completed.

    YIS,
    Levi ben Daniel

  • Upcoming Email Changes

    Greetings An Tir!

The An Tir Webminister’s office is starting a process to transfer a number of official Kingdom email accounts from the O365 to a Google Workspace (think Gmail) owned by the Kingdom. This move is in answer to a reduction in the number of Office 365 grant licenses available for the use by Kingdom without further increasing expense requirements.

Not all email accounts will be transitioned; our officers are currently working on a comprehensive list of the accounts under the An Tir purview and which will be moved. The list of all emails affected will be available before those transitions begin.
We will need assistance from you in this process. A comprehensive timeline and training plan is in process currently. We hope this will be made available to everyone affected as soon as April 11th. This should include expectations on actions needed from account holders as well as the time frame in which they need to be completed.

We hope to begin these transitions as early as the following weekend of April 18th. The Kingdom Webminister team will have representatives available at the Kingdom Arts, Sciences and Rapier event to assist in person if needed.

This communication is for informational purposes only- further details will be coming soon. In the meantime, if you have questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our transition team here: 365Migration@antir.org and we will be happy to answer questions as soon as possible. However, please ensure the word is spread.

    Thank you for your time,
    An Tir Web Team

P.S. If you’re an officer and you didn’t receive a copy of this notification via your official email, please contact 365Migration@antir.org so that we can review and investigate this issue.

  • Using Microsoft Teams to Create Online Meetings

Microsoft Teams is part of the Kingdom’s Office 365 Communications Suite. All Branch and Kingdom Officers have access to Microsoft Teams through their Office 365 login. If you need a password reset to restore access to your account, please send a request to support@antir.org.

Any Officer (with an @stage.antir.org/ or @tirrigh.org email address) may initiate a Teams meeting.

Anyone with the link may join a Teams meeting using a Web Browser. No other software or application is required to join a meeting.

To create a meeting in Teams:
    1. Log into your An Tir email: https://portal.microsoft.com
    2. Select “Teams” from the grid-of-dots menu in the upper left corner or from the home page. The Teams logo looks like this:
    3. You might be asked to download the Teams desktop app. This is a free download and you will not need a license for it but it is optional. If you don’t want to do this, click on “use the web app instead”.
    4. The Honorable Lord Morikawa Kenji Katashige has created a very thorough document with many screenshots. The document will help you set up a meeting in Teams from the meeting site itself, as well as for a completely online experience. The document also contains detailed instructions for how to join a meeting. View/download the document here.

Microsoft has published some training videos about creating and joining Teams meetings. This information is more generic but in video form. Office Support – Microsoft Teams – Manage Meetings
