  • Awards Recommendation System: Status Quick-Reference

This list of status options is meant to create an asynchronous conversation within your court team.

Having a common language around what the different statuses mean is extremely important to a well-functioning court team.

Although your court team might have its own method of organizing awards, creating dockets, and distributing awards from recommendations, it’s extremely important to keep the information here on the website clear for all who read or review them.

Please use the following to guide your actions while working within the system. Your current team as well as future reigns will thank you.

    Recommendation status options

    Open

This recommendation is new and has not been verified or reviewed yet.

    Verified, Royals please review

The OP has been checked for the following (often done by the Court Coordinator or Award Sifter):

    • Nominee’s name has been spell-checked and corrections and pronouns have been added to the recommendation’s “notes” section
    • The award has not already been given
    • The AoA level was awarded before the Grant, etc.

If a different award seems more appropriate at this time, for example, because the recommendation is for a grant level award but the nominee hasn’t yet received their AoA level award, add this information to the recommendation’s “notes” section.

    Approved – Please schedule

This recommendation has been approved by the Crown or Coronets and is ready to be put on the schedule for an upcoming court. Used by the Crown or Coronet.

Give a different award – see notes

In this case, another award seems more appropriate; AoA before specific AoA, AoA level before grant level, Lion’s Mane rather than Carp, etc. When using this status, update the recommendation’s “notes” field to explain which award was given. This is used by the Crown or Coronet.

    Scheduled

Change “Approved – Please Schedule” recommendations to the status of “Scheduled” when they have been placed on an upcoming court docket. Often done by the Court Coordinator or Award Sifter.

    Closed – Awarded

This recommendation was acted upon and was awarded during a past court. This is a “Closed” status that should not be re-opened by future reigns.

    Closed – Not awarded

The Crown or Coronet chooses not to give the award to the nominee and They are not leaving it open to the next reign to decide. Used by the Crown or Coronet.

    Delayed

The Crown or Coronet needs more time to think about this recommendation. They may decide to give it later in the reign, or they might want to wait for the next reign to decide on it. Used by the Crown or Coronet.
